What exactly is a digital RSVP?

RSVP comes from the French "Répondez s'il vous plaît" (please respond). It's the system by which guests confirm whether they're attending your wedding. Digital means they do it from their phone tapping a link, instead of calling you or returning a postcard. Planivia gives you this built-in: each guest has a unique link + QR.

How do guests receive the link to confirm?

Three ways. (1) Automatic email from Planivia with each person's personalized link. (2) You copy each guest's link and send via WhatsApp/Telegram. (3) Print each QR on a card and hand it personally. Each guest has a unique URL — they don't share a form with anyone else.

Can I ask more than just "are you coming"?

Yes. By default Planivia asks confirmation + dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies). You can add custom questions: menu choice, favorite song, plus-one, accommodation needed, transport, etc.

Are reminders automatic?

Yes. Planivia detects who hasn't responded and sends reminders at 30, 15 and 7 days before the wedding. You can disable them or adjust the timing. Manual one-off reminders for specific guests are also possible.

What if a guest changes their mind?

They can enter their link anytime and change their answer. Your dashboard updates instantly. No limit on changes — useful because many people change plans in the final weeks.

How do I handle plus-ones?

Mark in your dashboard which guests can bring a plus-one. When they confirm, the option "are you bringing a companion?" appears automatically, and if they say yes we ask for the companion's name + dietary restrictions. They appear as a linked guest tied to their host's seating, no need to add them manually.

Can I export responses to Excel for the caterer?

Yes. Export the full list with confirmed / declined / pending, chosen menus, dietary restrictions, allergies, special requests, plus-ones. Excel or CSV. Useful to send to the caterer 3 weeks before and finalize seating.
